Singapore, buddy brother of Malaysia, one of the nearest countries to Malaysia. I had the opportunity to revisit the lion city for the second time. It was more than 10 years ago since my last visit there. Stayed there for a few days (6/1 to 8/1).
The journey began when Chicken and I left Melbourne Airport and spent 7 hours on MAS airplane and reached KLIA at around 6.00am @ 6 jan. Chicken and I walked out from the international arrival hall, we saw alot of people gathered at domestic arrival. Our first thought was either prime minister or someone very important was reaching, we joined the crowd. Later, we asked some guy who was beside us. "Kenapa begitu banyak orang di sini ? ada apa apa event kah ?" "oh, hari ini hari raya haji" man .. i tell you i was so blur, at that moment baru i realised it was all malay and only chicken and i were chinese standing there. then we stayed there for another minute or two then we walked away, looking for handphone network provider, we saw celcom 019 shop, but it was closed at that time, then we went to level 5 departure hall, looking for a place to sit and rest. We had to stay at airport and wait for Ee Gee who joined us at 2 pm. hehe ... while waiting, we sleep, walked around, sleep again, walk around again. it was ages.
Thank God, 2pm is reaching so we went to domestic arrival hall met up with Ee Gee, had lunch then spent RM 1.50 (thank you Ee Gee, he told us RM1.50 can reach Air Asia Terminal, if not need to spend RM 50 for stupid taxi) use bus to Air Asia LCCT terminal to catch flight to Singapore which was scheduled at 5 something. The bus ride was rough, but who cares, it was cheap and I was so damn happy about it :D
15 mins ride from KLIA, AirAsia terminal were small but packed. it seems like Bunning Warehouse to me. lolz, however, we checked in and waited for the flight, that's all i guess.
50 mins flight, we reached Singapore. Upon reaching, we felt strongly the kiasu-lism from the taxi waiting area. The taxi driver spoke mouthful of Singlish and made not funny joke while transferred us to our hotel - SummerView hotel. Ahhh skip all that, we began our night hunting, went to nearby street called Bugis street, looking for food and also experienced the atmosphere of Singapore. Bear in mind that I just got back from melbourne, so the road side char kueh and char mee , beehoon are all kinda stranger to me, however it didn't take too long for me to familiarize with them :D
We noticed that bugis street is pasar malam, selling a lot of stuffs, but NO FOOD, so after a few phone calls to friends, we decided to go to China town to knock the luck (singlish). so .. TAXI ...., the china town is located at Smith St, lol got warehouse but all hawker warehouse. hehe, then we finally found places to eat, walaueh, i tell you the char mee shown, i waited for about 20 mins standing beside the hawker stall, the stall was so busy man, the char mee really really taste good, but I think kuching hui sing garden one better :D , the tang yuan was kinda special, they have many flavours such as green tea , red bean, sesame, and i forgot the rest, it was one of the famous dishes in china town, glad we had that :D
We were tired after China town, so we taxi again back to our hotel. Those were the first day of our stay in Singapore :D
More will be update, Stay tuned !
